Follow our guide to family fun days out this spring in Yorkshire.

TREASURE HUNTERS

If you’re looking for something new to do with the children and are keen to encourage them to get outside and explore, Treasure Trails are an imaginative and engaging way to see some of Yorkshire.

Spring is the perfect time of the year to blow out old habits and freshen up your quality bonding time with a new experience.

Treasure Trails are self-guided themed walking treasure hunts, ideal for discovering more about where you’re holidaying. With over 1,100 different Treasure Trails available across the UK, families can choose from three themes and work together to answer a series of clues as intrepid treasure hunters, spies on a top secret mission or detectives solving a murder mystery!

Those staying in close by Whitby hotels can make the most of the Whitby – Curse of the Vampire treasure hunt , a trail that involves using local historic and scenic landmarks to uncover the story of Dracula in the place that inspired the Bram Stoker classic.

FOODIE FAMILIES

Finding menus to satisfy everyone’s taste can be challenging, but the authentic Italian and British dishes at Florio’s Pizzeria Ristorante ensure no one goes hungry.

Scarborough’s favourite family restaurant serves up a tasty array of classic Italian plates alongside popular staples and their pizza is arguably the best in Yorkshire.

Having first arrived in the UK at 18, owner Antonio brought with him the flare and passion of Mediterranean cooking establishing two successful restaurants previously in Yorkshire before opening Florio’s in Scarborough in 1986. Since then, its popularity has gone from strength to strength winning hearts and awards in the region.

The award-winning eatery snagged the coveted title of Scarborough’s best restaurant in 2014 and continues to serve up a friendly service with its food menu. There’s even a special bambino menu for children diners.
