LITTLE MIX COMING TO SCARBOROUGH OPEN AIR THEATRE
As a part of their ‘Summer Shout Out Tour’, Little Mix are heading to the Scarborough Open Air Theatre.
The girl group are coming to Scarborough as a part of their Summer Shout Out Tour which spans 13 dates. The tour kicks off at Wirral Live on May 21st and finishes up in Durham on July 15th.
As one of X-Factor’s biggest successes, the group’s stage show will include their top hits like ‘Shout Out’, ‘Black Magic’ and ‘Hair and Wings’. Attendees at Scarborough Open Air Theatre can also expect to hear a host of other tracks from their new album ‘Glory Days’.
Tickets for the event go on sale at 9am on January 20th, costing from £29.50.
Quoted in the Hull Daily Mail, a spokesman for the band said that “2016 was an incredible year for the band with another massive number one single ‘Shout Out To My Ex’, and their album ‘Glory Days’, shooting straight to number one on the Official Albums Chart”.
Also coming to the Scarborough Open Air Theatre in 2017 are acts such as The Beach Boys (May 24th), The Charlatans (June 16th), Cliff Richard (June 29th), UB40 (June 30th), and Madness (August 3rd).
Following on from Little Mix’s Thursday July 6th date, Olly Murs will be performing at the theatre on Sunday July 9th, making for an appealing long weekend stay at one of Scarborough’s nearby hotels.
Other bands that have performed at the Scarborough Open Air Theatre include: Elton John, Status Quo, Jessie J, Boyzone, McFly, Simply Red, Alfie Boe and Will Young.
The theatre, which underwent a major refurbishment back in 2010, was officially opened by The Queen. Scarborough’s Open Air Theatre is the largest in Europe and the original was built way back in the 1930s – unveiled by The Lord Mayor of London.
The capacity for the theatre is 6,500 and is located in Northstead Manor Gardens, North Bay. Tickets for the Little Mix event can also be purchased via the box office or on 0844 844 0444.
